In March 2017, a week after our 2nd annual Prayer Luncheon for Life, we launched a multi-year internet video advertising campaign through our OAASYS (On-demand Alternatives to Abortion SYStem) platform.

Our goal for this campaign is very ambitious. We want to make sure that all young women aged 18-29 know that, should they face an unexpected pregnancy in the future, there is hope and help available to them at a local Pregnancy Help Center.

We committed to this undertaking after discovering research from the Charlotte Lozier Institute revealing that, surprisingly, greater than 50% of women aged 18-29 are completely unaware that pro-life Pregnancy Help Centers exist. There are approximately 26 million women in this age group in the U.S., so this indicates more than 13 million of them do not know about Pregnancy Help Centers. This is tragic, because if women don’t know about Pregnancy Help Centers, then women facing unexpected pregnancies won’t go to Pregnancy Help Centers.

It is essential that we achieve our goal of helping all women aged 18-29 become aware about Pregnancy Help Centers, because this age group accounts for approximately 70% of all abortions in our country.

Can all of these women be reached? And if so, can it be done both quickly and cost effectively? In other words, is the worthy goal we are pursuing achievable?

We, at Heroic Media, strongly believe the answer is YES! The convergence of three technology trends around 5 years ago laid the groundwork that will enable us to reach our goal. I will cover those three technology trends in greater detail in future updates, but in short, they are: 1) the broad diffusion of 4th generation broadband wireless networks, 2) the near 100% adoption of smartphones by the millennial generation, and 3) the ubiquitous use of social media networks like Facebook and YouTube.

We can analyze the results of the advertising campaign, now in its 22nd month, to gauge our progress toward the goal of helping all women 18-29 years old become aware of the existence of Pregnancy Help Centers.

Thanks to your generous support, we have expanded the campaign into the Top 10 cities in the U.S.: Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Detroit. In addition to these cities, we are also running the campaign in Austin, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and in several cities in Southwest and South Central Florida.

We are running two video spots in this campaign. Here are links to the Dallas versions of the video spots that we run on YouTube and Facebook:

“Ultimatum” video:

“Adoption” Option video:

For each of the other cities covered by the campaign, we run the same videos, but change the text and phone numbers on the videos to match the local city.

As of Thursday, January 10th, we have reached 1,336,000 women aged 18-29 years old with these videos. That equates to having already reached 5.1% of all the women aged 18-29 in our country. This is excellent progress, but we won’t be satisfied until we have reached ALL 26 million of them!

The exciting news is that we have fine-tuned our internet video advertising system so that we can rapidly expand the campaign into many more cities over the next 24 months.

By the end of the year 2020, we want to achieve our goal of reaching all women aged 18-29! We are very grateful for your continued support that will enable us to turn this goal into reality!
